Aberdeen police responded to a shooting Tuesday morning that left two individuals injured. Around 11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Congress Street after multiple shots were reported.
At the scene, police found one person with a gunshot wound who was transported to a nearby hospital. A second individual fled the area, prompting an alert for a white Chevy Equinox.
Within 40 minutes, a South Dakota State Trooper located the vehicle in the 100 block of West Melgaard. The second individual, also wounded, was found and taken to a hospital for treatment. Police confirm that there is no ongoing threat to the public and that all involved parties have been accounted for.
